The RAK PowerLink RAK9105U is a purpose-built IoT device that enables remote power control and rebooting for LoRaWAN Gateways, LTE CPEs, WiFi access points, routers, base stations, and solar battery systems. Designed for applications in both urban and remote environments, the PowerLink simplifies device management by allowing power outputs to be controlled via LoRaWAN®.
This functionality reduces the need for on-site maintenance, helping to minimize downtime and operating costs. The PowerLink integrates easily into existing setups and can integrate its remote operation through a mobile app or web interface.
Challenges Addressed
Network devices, such as LoRaWAN Gateways, LTE CPEs, WiFi access points, and base stations, are critical for connectivity in various environments—from urban areas to remote locations. When these devices encounter issues, traditional maintenance often involves dispatching technicians to manually reset equipment. This approach not only incurs high operational costs but also leads to prolonged downtime, disrupting customer operations and satisfaction.
The Solution
With the RAK9105U PowerLink, equipment reboots can now be handled remotely, drastically improving response time and reducing downtime. Once deployed, this device communicates with LoRaWAN® gateways, enabling complete control over the power supply to the connected device. Simply connect the PowerLink to the power source, and you can monitor and reboot devices on-demand using the existing LoRaWAN coverage, or based on predefined scheduling.
