RAK3172 is a low-power long-range transceiver module for LoRa and LoRaWAN applications based on STM32WLE5CC chip. Its firmware is based on RAKwireless Unified Interface V3 (RUI3) that allows you create different functionalities using RUI APIs. It provides an easy-to-use, small-size, low-power solution for long-range wireless data applications. This module complies with Class A, B, & C of LoRaWAN 1.0.3 specifications. It can easily connect to different LoRaWAN server platforms like TheThingsNetwork (TTN), Chirpstack, Helium, etc. It also supports LoRa Point-to-Point (P2P) communication mode which helps you in implementing your own customized long-range LoRa network quickly. 

It can work as a standalone device by creating custom firmware via RUI3 APIs or can be deployed as a LoRA modem with an external host like a microcontroller or microprocessor that configures and send commands to the module using AT and Binary commands via a UART interface.

Note: 

  1. The antenna of Check to Include is a supporting antenna for certification.
  2. When purchasing Blade Antenna, you need to use it with IPEX TO RP-SMA Connector.
  3. As our customers are starting mass-production and deploying their products globally, we want to clarify that our modules hardware is supporting multiple LoRaWAN regions. As there is no difference in the hardware, we optimized the variants in our store to make it easier to select the correct module. Please note that the difference between the variants is only in the label on the module to reflect the different regional telecommunication certifications.

The RAK3172 is available in variants with TCXO to assure higher clock precision in low temperature conditions and with an oscillator for normal environment conditions. Choose the frequency accuracy you require from either ±2.5ppm  or ±0.5ppm
