What is the WisNode Tag?
The WisNode Tag is a compact GPS tracker for LoRaWAN designed for personal safety, asset tracking, outdoor activities, and industrial monitoring. It combines GNSS positioning, motion detection, Bluetooth configuration, and long-range LoRaWAN connectivity in a slim rechargeable device that can be carried, worn, or attached to equipment.
Using the TrackIT® mobile application, users can configure it over Bluetooth and deploy it as a tracking device. It can be used in location tracking, geofencing, and event monitoring. The device supports both the TrackIT ecosystem and third-party platforms such as ChirpStack and The Things Stack. It is compatible with a WisGate gateway for LoRaWAN and can be deployed as part of a complete tracking solution for personnel monitoring, asset tracking, geofencing, and SOS alert applications.
Who is the WisNode Tag Designed For?
The WisNode Tag is designed for those who need location visibility for personnel, equipment, and mobile assets across large operational areas. It is particularly useful when deploying private or public networks on LoRaWAN for tracking, safety monitoring, and asset management.

Use Case Examples for the WisNode Tag
Organizations use monitoring solutions to improve visibility of personnel and assets while reducing manual tracking efforts across large operational areas.
Use Case #1: Lone Worker GPS Tracker
A utility contractor experienced delayed worker check-ins during remote inspections. After deploying the WisNode Tag with SOS alerts and GNSS tracking, response verification improved from 78% to 97% across 50 field shifts. Results were validated through scheduled location reporting. Production deployment achieved consistent performance across 40 units. The customer reported that worker visibility became much easier to manage.
Use Case #2: Construction Equipment Tracking
Meanwhile, a construction company struggled to locate shared equipment between work zones. Using an equipment tracking device and motion monitoring, search times dropped from 18 minutes to 4 minutes on average. Testing covered 30 days and 25 tracked assets. Deployment records showed repeatable results across all devices. The customer stated that equipment utilization improved because locations were always available.
